Paradise is here and now
The Peninsula of Maraú - Bahia - Brazil - Elected by the Guide Four Wheels as the place most beautiful eco-tourism in Brazil. It is a huge haven in southern Bahia, between the bay and the Camamú Itacaré .. The Peninsula of Maraú is still one of the few places that preserves the eco-system almost untouchable, has a rich system and a huge marine biodiversity in the fauna and flora. There are wonderful places to know how the Ponta do Mutá, Lagoa Azul, Lagoa do Cassange, Ilha da Pedra Furada, and other places also rich in ecological information.
The peninsula of Maraú is the tip of the Bay of Camamu and all of the Northeast beauties in one place. The landscape is dominated by huge palm trees, beaches, rivers and natural pools of water and green. Village of fishermen, the Bahian Maraú is simple and beautiful. The hikes by the Atlantic, accompanied by sago, leading to waterfalls and several beaches, such as Barra Grande, the most famous of the place, to Saqüaíra, Cassange, chosen as one of the best of Brazil, the shells and many others. It also has the charms of the islands of Pedra Furada of Sapinho and Goió and of Campinho. From the top of the Morro de Taipu Belvedere, you can appreciate the whole stretch of beaches to the north and south, to the municipality of Itacaré. Another walk is the unforgettable Morro Bela Vista, the best point of view of the Peninsula Maraú. Finally, the beach of Taipu Outside, listed as high among the local beauties. Its landscape is complete with large coconut trees, Atlantic and clear sand, cut by streams that native down to the sea.
Maraú
Only recently the Peninsula of Maraú Bahians and was discovered by tourists, but the residents are older that the town has been visited by the French writer and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, author of "The Little Prince", which would have remained in the town long enough to maintain a residence there.

Also in the peninsula is Maraú Barra Grande, a village that has the most beautiful beaches in the country, full of exciting attractions and natural pools for swimming and diving. It is in Barra Grande is that most of the inns and restaurants in the region.
