Dionorina the good of the reggae classic
Tells us how Dionorina decided to follow the path of reggae, the beginning of their caree
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - When and how you decided to follow the path of reggae?
Dionorina - I had heard in the music program of Big Boy - Rhythm of Boite in World Radio in the 70s, but never knew it was reggae and I did not know who sang most of the songs. I remember Jimmy Cliff singing Vietnam. Listening to this music from the streets of beaten down in Feira de Santana, Bahia, and participating in the trials of Male Pomba Afoxé in District of New Street, where the largest concentration of Afro-culture Ameríndia of Feira de Santana, a city of 700,000 people in ghettos where the Rua Nova, about 40,000 people live, that song where the bass always repeated the same phrases and guitar making a different basis of normal caught my attention and from then on I began to study the texts, who was and what said.It discovered the reggae. Music that denounces the social differences. Music of spiritual slant. Awareness and entertainment in which I have the same affinity of a social nature, political truths and guidelines for where I do my music always speaking the truth with reggae music.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - Early in his career (10 years old) what was the repertoire
you sing on the radio of Feira de Santana?
Dionorina - Nelson Gonçalves, Adelino Moreira, Altemar Dutra and others.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - What are the influences of Dionorina?
Dionorina - From Bach, Beetoven, Stravinsky, Smetack, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jimmi Hendrix, Mahavisno and Orchestra, the João Gilberto, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Milton Nascimento and without doubt, Bob Marley and my musical knowledge.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - Who composed the songs you sing? How does the presentations,
Dionorina who came on stage?
Dionorina - My compositions always have partnerships in the texts, in their majority, or interpretations of songs from composers who have affinities.
The presentations are given only and exclusively through contracts with cache closed because we have with studios costs of testing and transport of musicians and instruments, plus the cost of production that we have for each show that we made.I am currently going up on stage with nine musicians accompanying me
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - In your opinion, what is more difficult to find a band of reggaeto achieve stand out and have his work recognized?
Dionorina - All possible difficulties to be a music that speaks of truths and not a song that turns fashion. With the tying of marijuana there is greater discrimination.
For the recognition there is a need to make good music, have musical knowledge and playing with good musicians. Just not enough musical intuition. Or money to buy the media. Turn success in two days.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - You are identified with the Rastafari culture? What is the philosophy.
Dionorina - I identify. I am a reggaeman. My philosophy is to show the truth through my singing, my vision and social policy. Where will I speak in my music is always the truth of what I see, feel and what I am.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - Did you attend the festivities and events related to reggae? Dionorina - Sometimes. Whenever possible.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - What do you think you have the fashion show along with the reggae show of forró?
You can find some connection in these two music styles?
Dionorina - For the public is perhaps the most attractive one. The reggae rhythms and xote are memories of Africa. But when is a show-only reggae or just forró of the public is more specific.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - No space for reggae music scene in the Brazilian national?
Dionorina - Yes the media. And not to run in the reggae music of all music programming radios.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - What remains pro reggae only be "underground" and burst the market?
Dionorina - precisely the above. In the media.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - What is the policy of Dionorina for marijuana?
Dionorina - I am a Lord of 50 years and must keep my neurons awake.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula-Which reggae bands of international and national you listening?
Dionorina - All possible.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - Which artist would like to share the stage in a show?
Dionorina - All great musicians. There is thus a specific name.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - Outside the style reggae music, which touches on his CD player?
Dionorina - MPB, Instrumental, classical music. My taste is broad and eclectic.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - Do you believe that the structures assembled for shows of reggae, so as those involved in the production of events related to the style, value the work of musicians and bands?
Dionorina - Most do not. Only events with professionalism and criteria for production that has this concern that is increasingly rare in our country, unfortunately. A good part is composed of hood rat. Failure to respect the artist and professionals involved. The amateurism come back with more.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - What is the biggest difficulty you found today?
Dionorina - Money for production.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - What was the best show of Dionorina?
Dionorina - I would like to mention two very important moments for me. Playing to 100,000 people in the Itabuna Electric Trio Planeta Reggae and receive the invitation to be honored in 2004, Carnival in advance with the Tribute to Dionorina and play for the elite of producers of the musical event in Europe closed the edge of a pool Bahia. It was marked and registered a new moment in my career and galgado. Will be represented by them in Europe next October in a great event.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - With the Internet, today access to everything is easier and faster. What is your opinion about mp3 and exchange of music over the internet?
Dionorina - Is the time machine. The same music that plays here, playing in Japan, the Moon or anywhere in the universe in real time. With respect to the mp3's, for disclosure is a marketing marvel and if the artist is aware and authorize or not, depending on their commercial interest, as he survives in his work as a professional.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula - How would you describe the movement in Bahia reggae? What places you indicate?
Dionorina - I have monitored the movement Regueiro baiano there almost three years. In Salvador, the Pelourinho, a space of reggae and has good sessions. You also have the Rock in Rio Coffee was what I saw superficially. I have no other information.
Firma Productions / The Peninsula-Here is a space that you leave a message pros regueiros Brazilians.
Dionorina - What is the strength of our direct light paths for good. And soon to be the test of Block Planet Reggae there in Barra GrandeVilla Lobos Dionorina INCONCERT of the Bob Marley and wish good luck to the new mayor is that nigger Pito good luck and a lot of light.
